Memoire Confessions of an Unknown Guitar Player
Born: March 1961 – Bay Shore, NY
Began playing guitar: 1971
Moved to Detroit area: 1978
First Notable Band: Black Market – joined December 1982. They have never broken up.
Sounds like: The easy timbre of Jerry Garcia with the soul and vulnerability of Rick Danko combined with the sweetness of Smokey Robinson.
Plays like: Economic and poetic – always serving the song first. Bob is often compared to Mike Campbell (Tom Petty) with the originality and groove of David Lindley (Jackson Browne). A superb slide player, he is also a master of Rock, Blues, Americana, Reggae and Jazz styles.
Recent Cool Moment: Performing an introspective version of “Feel Like A Number” at the Trinity Theater for an evening of Bob Seger songs.
“The enthusiastic response from the audience & my peers was so amazing that I ended up cutting the song for the new Acoustic Madness CD”
